My 2 Cents: Time To Get Behind Our President-Elect

Time to get behind our President-elect and give him a chance. That's what I said eight years ago when Barack Obama was first elected, and I say it again Wednesday night, but, let's be honest, it's a different this time.

While there was a sharp divide in the country eight years ago, we had a new President promising hope and change, and I think most people wanted our first African American President to be successful in office whether they voted for him or not.

As we prepare to launch into a Donald Trump Presidency, I suspect it's going to be much more difficult for Hillary supporters to get in line even if only for a little while.

Most of those people also support President Obama, and Donald Trump is promising to go in and undo much of what President Obama has done over his two terms. Most notably, taking apart his signature accomplishment Obamacare.

Sadly, I don't think half of the electorate is willing to grant President Trump any kind of honeymoon period.

I get it, but I don't think Trump cares either. He's got four years to "Make America Great Again", and I think he believes if he can do it they'll get behind him at some point.
