It's not a back to school item we normally think about.

The Salvation Army Central Oklahoma Social Services will provide new undergarments for children, grades K-12,  starting at 9 a.m., today.

Salvation Army staff say something as simple as underwear brings a world of confidence to students surrounded by their peers in school.

Each eligible student will receive three to four new pairs of socks and underwear.

Those wanting the brand new underwear have to come prepared with the proper documentation including: a birth certificate, school enrollment verification, proof of household income, proof of residency, and a picture ID.

The program's available program dates are October 17, 18, 24, 25, 27, and 31, all at their headquarters at 1001 N Penn.
