In Soviet Russia, OCCC Comes To Yakov Smirnoff

OCCC is set to host comedian Yakov Smirnoff for his "Professor of Love and Laughter" show. 

Smirnoff has been performing for decades, whether on Broadway, in film or TV shows, or at his long-running show in Branson, Mo. 

Smirnoff is also an adjust professor at Missouri State University. He earned a Master's degree in possitive psychology from the University of Penn and is currently working on a PhD in psych at Pepperdine. 

The show he brings to OCCC will be based off his PBS special, "Happily Ever Laughter: The Neuroscience of Romantic Relationships." 

The show is scheduled for Saturday, October 22, at 7:30 p.m., at the OCCC Visual and Performance Arts Theater. Tickets are $45 and can be purchased online or over the phone at 405-682-7595.
