Tulsa Rescue Workers Come Up Empty Handed In Manhole Search

Several Tulsa firefighters and police said they didn't find anyone down a manhole after a thorough search Monday afternoon. 

They responded to a call after a witness reported seeing a person going into a manhole near 41st and Utica.  

Police said a witness reported seeing the cover off of the manhole in the 3900 block of South Troost. They reported seeing someone, possibly a child, go down in it. 

Police said it appears someone had been in the bottom of the manhole at some point but that they were no longer there, and that it possibly could have been a homeless person.
