Oklahoma receiver DeDe Westbrook has been named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Westbrook finished with 10 catches for an OU-record 232 yards receiving and three touchdowns in the Sooners’ 45-40 win over Texas at the Cotton Bowl. In the last two games, Westbrook has totaled 390 receiving yards and five touchdowns.
It’s the first time Westbrook has earned Big 12 Player of the Week honors.
TCU defensive end Josh Carraway was named Defensive Player of the Week, Kansas State return man Byron Pringle was named Special Teams Player of the Week and Kansas State defensive back D.J. Reed earned Newcomer of the Week.
