Tulsa Police have arrested a 19-year-old man after an early morning crash that killed one man and forced them to close the northbound lanes of Highway 75 just north of Interstate 44 early Tuesday.

Tsakururetahkats Shawnee was arrested on complaints of first-degree manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident that caused injury or death, first offense DUI, possession of a controlled and dangerous substance and possession of marijuana, according to Tulsa County arrest records.

The crash happened at about 2 a.m. near West 41st Street.

Officers say the driver of a pickup was thrown from the truck when it rolled. EMSA took him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Upon investigation, police determined a Jeep had been involved in the crash and they found it on the side of the highway about a mile north of the fatal crash scene. The driver of the Jeep was Shawnee and he was arrested and booked at 2:30 a.m.

Police reopened both lanes of Highway 75 at about 7 a.m.

Police have not yet released the name of the victim.
