Timo Pitter scored 18 seconds into the game, and Danni König added a goal as OKC Energy FC earned a 2-2 draw with Saint Louis FC in the final match of the 2016 USL regular season Saturday night at Taft Stadium.  The stalemate marked the sixth draw in six all-time matches between the two clubs, with OKC setting a new USL record for draws in a season with 13.

With the quickest goal in Energy FC club history, Pitter gave OKC a 1-0 lead, taking a pass from Michael Byskov just beyond the Saint Louis FC box and bending a left-footed shot past diving St. Louis keeper Ryan Thompson and into the lower-left corner of the net.

Twenty minutes later, Shiloh Tshuma knotted the score for St. Louis, rebounding a shot by Jamiel Hardware that was initially blocked by OKC keeper Cody Laurendi but bounded toward the arc. Tshuma sent a line-drive shot into the vacated OKC net for a 1-1 score.

David Tyler gave Saint Louis FC a 2-1 lead in the 23rd minute. Off a corner kick, St. Louis’ A.J. Cochran headed the ball into the middle of the Energy FC six, where Tyler deflected the ball past Laurendi.

OKC tied the score in the 26th minute when Michael Thomas corralled a loose ball in the lower right corner of the St. Louis box and sent a volley into the six, where Danni König headed a shot to the opposite side of the net.  König, with the goal, and Thomas, with the assist, finished the 2016 season tied for the team lead in points with 12.

Energy FC finished the 2016 regular season with a record of 10-7-13.

OKC’s next match will be the weekend of Oct. 1, when the club plays in the first round of the 2016 USL Playoffs. Their opponent and date of the game are contingent on remaining USL games.
