Standoff In SE OKC Ends With Suspect In Custody

Oklahoma City police were involved in a standoff with a murder suspect on Wednesday. 

The standoff ended less than nine hours with the suspect taken into custody.

The suspect, Anthony Loman, 40, was wanted in connection with the homicide of 52-year-old Jay Creacy. 

Creacy who was found dead in a home not too far from the standoff back on September 10.

The standoff happened in the 600 block of S.E. 31st Street. The SWAT team was on scene and blocked off the streets as they tried to encourage the suspect to surrender.

News 9 learned that Loman at first tried to run away, but then chose run back into the house. That's when the gang unit called for the tact team.

Last week, the gang unit arrested Derek Blacker, a 27-year-old who is currently being held without bond at the Oklahoma County jail in connection with this homicide.
