Armor Advantage has a goal to supply law enforcement and first responders with one million bulletproof, hard armor-plated vests.
Since August 7, more than 3,500 have signed up for the vest giveaway.
Armor Advantage president Michael Blackmore calls the program, "Everyday Heroes."

They partnered with Stone Shield International, who will carry out the program on the east coast. Armor Advantage says requests for the free armor have come from as far as New York to California.
The program is already serving 21 police departments and has delivered 418 vests.
