I'm looking forward to the presidential debates, but I will also be watching the vice presidential debate on October 4 more closely than ever and here's why.

If Donald Trump is elected president, at 70 years old he will be the oldest man to take the office, a year older than Ronald Reagan was back in 1980.

Hillary Clinton is about to turn 69. If she wins, she'll be the second oldest person to become president.

By the way, the average age of our presidents is 55.

And anyone trying to downplay the health issue with these candidates is either being naive or deceptive.

Neither of these candidates has undergone an exam from what I would call an objective team of doctors.

While there is an issue of health privacy, we're talking about electing the leader of the free world and we have a right to know if they can carry out the job for four years.

We know Hillary Clinton has had some serious health issues in the recent past, but what about Donald Trump?

He appears to be healthy and certainly energetic, but he's also lived a high-speed, high-stress life. That can take a toll on a person.

The physical fitness and mental acuity of these two older candidates are certainly a legitimate issue in this campaign. Voters should demand to know more.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
