Police are looking for an 18-year-old man they say shot and killed his mother's boyfriend Thursday night.
The suspect is Malik Rogers, according to police.
Officers say they responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of South Nogales at 11:45 p.m. EMSA took the victim to a Tulsa hospital where he later died.
Sergeant Dave Walker says detectives interviewed three people who live in the home and learned the shooting happened after an argument involving the victim, his 35-year-old girlfriend and Rogers, her 18-year-old son.
Walker says Rogers grabbed a gun and left the home during the argument. A short time later, Rogers returned and got into an altercation with the victim, according to police. Walker says that is when Rogers shot the 26-year-old boyfriend once in the chest.
Walker says the woman's 15-year-old son and six-year-old daughter were present but not injured.
Police said Rogers ran away after the shooting and police are still looking for him.
Police have not released the identity of the man who died.
