A pastor in Yukon says her family has been victimized by a gang of car thieves.
Abbey Roggenkamp and her husband Greg are young adult pastors at Discovery Church in Yukon. Roggenkamp says they made the mistake of leaving all three of their vehicles unlocked outside their home on the Northwest side of town Tuesday night. She says there was also a large sum of cash in one of the cars from a check she recently cashed.
However, Roggenkamp says shortly after she called police Wednesday morning, they informed her four suspects were already in custody.
“It’s hard to lose that much money, but at the same time it’s great to live in a community where our officers are protecting us, and having our back, and paying attention. So we appreciate that,” said Roggenkamp.
Roggenkamp says police told her those suspects were responsible for at least eight car burglaries, and are part of an Oklahoma City gang.
A Yukon Police Spokesperson says the only thing they can confirm right now is that they have made “four arrests.”
