Volunteers with the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief are finally preparing meals for flood victims in Baton Rouge, LA, after facing some setbacks.
The organization says its power source, a large propane tank, was delayed in arriving, causing volunteers about a half-day setback. The tank arrived late Friday morning and workers immediately got work preparing about 10,000 meals for tonight’s dinner shift.
The volunteers will be in Baton Rouge for at least the next five weeks.
News 9’s Steve Shaw is in Baton Rouge and will have live reports tonight on News 9.
