Your 2 Cents: Enes Kanter Disowned By Family

Thunder star Enes Kanter has been disowned by his family in Turkey because he's chosen to follow an American-based Imam who's perceived by the President of Turkey as being an enemy of the state. 

Politics aside, it certainly puts the recent decisions made by other Thunder stars in perspective.

Here's what you had to say, Jonathon from Yukon first, "It certainly puts the glitz and glamour of the NBA in perspective. It doesn't seem so important all of a sudden."

Patrick writes, "FAITH first, Family second…sad situation when that choice has to be made. You have a family in OKC."

Yvette theorizes, "They had to disown him for their own safety, he knows that…it doesn't help his heart much."

That could be, but I haven't seen any reports that support that theory.
