OKC Police Seek Two Who Stole Jewelry, Coins Worth Thousands
OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City police are looking for two people who stole jewelry and coins worth thousands of dollars from a business.
According to police, it happened on Monday, August 1 at Southwest Coin and Stamp, located at 6712 S. Western Avenue. A man and a woman came into the store and began looking around and requesting items from inside the glass cases. They were in the store for about 30 minutes, looking at and touching coins and jewelry.
After the suspects left the store without purchasing anything, employees discovered that a box set of U.S. Mint Coins went missing. They also noticed that several rings were missing from two display plates, and a one-ounce Buffalo 2008 mint gold coin was also missing.
The missing items are worth more than $5,000 in total. Police said they reviewed surveillance videos and the female suspect could be seen stealing the coin and dropping rings into the front of her bra.
