With kickoff only 32 days away, the Associated Press released a ranking of the all-time best college football programs, and the Oklahoma Sooners came in at No. 2 on the list behind only Ohio State.

According to the rankings that can be seen here, OU has made the AP Top 25 a total of 784 times (71.08 percent), with the Sooners' first appearance coming in 1938. OU's best decade came in 1950, where the Sooners made 95.83 percent of the polls over those ten years while OU has held the No. 1 ranking 100 different times. OU has been top-five in percentage of poll appearances in five decades, most of any program.

The entire Top 25 goes as follows:

1. Ohio State (1,112 points), 2. Oklahoma (1,055 points), 3. Notre Dame (1,042 points), 4. Alabama (933 points), 5. Southern California (974 points), 6. Nebraska (901 points), 7. Michigan (894 points), 8. Texas (822 points), 9. Florida State (714 points), 10. Florida (674 points), 11. LSU (655 points), 12. Penn State (647 points), 13. Miami (642 points), 14. Tennessee (624 points), 15. Georgia (572 points), 16. Auburn (570 points), 17. UCLA (535 points), 18. Texas A&M (477 points), 19. Michigan State (443 points), 20. Washington (430 points), 21. Arkansas (412 points), 22. Clemson (411 points), 23. Pittsburgh (356 points), 24. Wisconsin (366 points), 25. Iowa (329 points).

What's great about the AP's rankings is that we'll get to see the No. 1 and No. 2 teams on the list battle it out each of the next two seasons. Oklahoma is scheduled to host Ohio State on Sept. 17 while the Buckeyes will return the favor in Columbus the following season.

Oklahoma State comes in at No. 43 and Tulsa is ranked No. 77.
