Moore Father Hopes For Justice In Youth Pastor Sex Crimes Case

A metro parent is devastated after he said his teenage daughter was the victim of a man accused of child sex crimes. The father did not want to reveal his identity.

The victim's parent said 29-year-old Casey Haynes worked at Central Church of Christ in Moore, and four months ago, church leaders fired him.

“Casey was the kind of young man that I thought I wanted my kids to become when they became Christian young men and young women,” the parent said. “To find out that he was manipulating our young people, coercing them into some of the nastiest things that you can imagine, that you would never think your children would  be involved in was a shock.”

Court documents showed Haynes is accused of sending naked pictures and sexual videos to multiple teens, among other crimes.

It’s alleged behavior, the parent said, has horrified everyone involved.

“Every father dreams that his little girl will meet the right guy and that in time they’ll fall in love and have a marriage and a family and all of these things and Casey stole that dream from my family,” he said.

Now, he said all he can do is hope Haynes gets more than a slap on the wrist for the lifelong impact his alleged actions will have on victims. But he said most importantly, he wants Haynes to change.

“No one wants the worst for him. We want what’s best for him. The best is to pay for his crime and to turn his life around,” he said.

The Cleveland County district attorney said Haynes is being offered a deal of 25 years, which could lead to seven years in prison and 18 years on probation.

The next hearing for Haynes is set for August 16.
