Police say a crime caught on camera is connected with burglaries at two Oklahoma City motels. A group of people worked together to pull off the heist.

One incident happened at Executive Inn, a family owned motel on 7412 Bryant Ave. The father and son were the only two people on property at the time. They do not want to be named, but say two suspects came in with a story. They told the owner they had a big wedding going on in town and needed to book several rooms.

The suspects started asking personal questions, which seemed like friendly conversation. The owner now believes they were trying to feel out how many people were at the motel at that time.

They prompted him to leave the office by telling him they needed to see a room.

The family’s apartment is attached to their office at Executive Inn. The 18-year-old son was sleeping in the bedroom when a third suspect snuck in and saw him.

The group of criminals got a fourth woman to lure him outside and show him one of the rooms.

The burglars stole tens of thousands of dollars-worth of cash and jewelry. The owner says the jewelry is from his wedding and is irreplaceable.

The Oklahoma City Police Department believes this group of people are travelling from town to town, even crossing state lines to commit crimes like this.

Another incident with the same description of suspects happened at a hotel on the 7400 block of South May Ave.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
