"Not who we thought he was..." that was my tweet Monday after Kevin Durant ditched the Thunder and Oklahoma City.

I didn't mean that as an insult. Fact is he's not the man HE SAID HE WAS just one year ago.

A year ago, Durant expressed his desire to play his whole career in OKC, to have his jersey retired here.

But in his written exit he said he felt he needed to move on to grow as a player and a man.

People change, I get that.

And the people around them change.

A league insider warned me yesterday before the announcement that he felt KD was getting questionable advice from the people around him, ie. his agents who were pushing him to go to a larger market.

The fact that he could be swayed away from his desire to always play for the Thunder illustrates an observation I made during the past season, that Thunder didn't have and desperately needed a leader, Durant never seemed comfortable trying to be one.

With the Warriors he won't have to be.

Yes, I'm plenty mad that he would sell out his teammates and Oklahoma to go piggyback off Golden State's success and especially now when the Thunder was on the brink of greatness.

I appreciate all that Kevin Durant brought to Oklahoma and I know someday, soon probably, he'll regret that he left with unfinished business.

It was weak, he took the easy road.

It was a very short-sighted choice.

Kevin Durant is a quality guy. Just turns out he's more of a follower than a leader.

I'm Kelly Ogle and that's My 2 Cents.
