People in one metro neighborhood are scared after coming face to face with some potentially dangerous wildlife. And, they're worried for their kids.

“It's becoming virtually impossible to get them to run away,” said Emily Adkins.

“It's making us scared that they'll come up and try to attack or bite,” said Blake Mathes.

Neighbors near Southwest 104th and Walker said they're dealing with some unwelcome guests.

“Well, new to our neighborhood is a family of foxes. We don't know if it’s a mommy daddy and a baby or all siblings, but we have three,” said Cathy Mathes.

Cathy Mathes said they're not afraid to get close to homes or people, including kids who play outside.

“And they love to adventure and they like to go in the creek and play and set up camp and they do that and play and pretend,” said Cathy.

Monday night, neighbor Emily Adkins said she had her own close encounter.

Wildlife in the area isn't unusual, but there may be a good reason for why they're becoming so bold.

“We've recognized that we have neighbors that appreciate the wildlife which we do too that are putting food scraps out,” said Adkins.

“If people realize what they are doing and we stop feeding them, will they move or will they become dangerous? Then will they come and eat our cats or tag our little ones?” said Cathy.

“It just gets us on the nerves,” said Blake.

Both Cathy and Emily just hope the animals can be relocated.

“So we have to watch out for them and be calm,” said Blake.
