OKC Energy FC got a pair of second-half goals to earn a 3-1 victory against the Swope Park Rangers on Saturday night at Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village.

The Rangers took the lead in just the seventh minute as a cross by Nansel Selbol from the right deflected off a defender, and came to the back post where Ayrton hit a low first-time finish from a tight angle. Energy FC hit back just before the break as Michael Thomas flicked home a header from Sebastian Dalgaard’s delivery in stoppage time to make it 1-1.

OKC then took the lead midway through the second half as Michael Thomas’ low cross from the right found Wojciech Wojcik for a first-time finish at the top of the six-yard area. OKC added to its lead with 16 minutes to go as Daniel Gonzalez got possession on the right side of the area, and while SPR goalkeeper Zac Lubin saved his initial shot, the rebound went straight back to Gonzalez, and he finished for Energy FC’s third to wrap up all three points.

Next up for Energy FC are the Vancouver Whitecaps II this Saturday, June 25th at 7:00 p.m. inside the friendly confines of Taft Stadium.
