The Oklahoma County Sheriff’s office is sending out a warning against putting animals through the x-ray machine at the Oklahoma County Courthouse.

According to the Sheriff’s office, Monday morning, a visitor to the courthouse placed an animal carrier onto the X-ray machines and did not inform the deputy.

The deputy noticed the dog in the carrier as it was going through the machines.

The Sheriff’s office said assistance animals and therapy animals are welcome to enter the courthouse, and that animals are often brought into the courthouse because they are part of a legal matter.

Deputies urge that if you bring an animal into the courthouse, do not put them through the X-ray machines.

The good news is that the radiation from the machine is too low to harm dogs, cats and other animals.
