Police are searching for a man and a woman allegedly involved in multiple car burglaries in Oklahoma City.

It started earlier this month at the Paw Park in on the 3300 block of NW Grand Boulevard.

The victim said she hid her purse under the front passenger seat of car in the parking lot and played with her dog for more than an hour.

A witness told police she saw the suspect get out of a 2003 black Ford Mustang, break the glass on the victim’s door and appeared to take a purse before racing out of the dog park.

Not long after, police said the suspects put the stolen credit cards to use.

A Hispanic man and a white woman with a tattoo on her right arm were caught on store surveillance cameras.

The victim was able to cancel her cards before they made off with any more money.

But what's worse, she's a grad student and also in her purse was a thumb drive storing her 76-page graduate thesis paper that she had spent the last year of her life working on at Oklahoma State University.

But it appears one of the accused burglars just kept going.

This time, it was a few days later outside the Family Dollar near SW 46 and Penn.

“A vehicle was broken into and a purse was taken. We were able to collect surveillance from that location as well and it shows to be the same female suspect,” Oklahoma City police Sgt. Ashley Peters said.

The police report said some of the stolen items showed back up on the first victim's doorstep, but the thumb drive with her thesis wasn't one of them.

If you have any information regarding these cases, call Crime Stoppers at 235-7300.
