10 p.m. Storms are making their way into Oklahoma after hanging in the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles for most of the evening hours Monday.

Storms in the western part of the state can produce tornadoes, and a tornado warning was issued for Ellis and Roger Mills counties.

The storms are expected to arrive in the Oklahoma City metro area after 1 a.m. Tuesday.

4:30 p.m. Showers and storms will increase from west to east late Monday evening and overnight.

Initially the threat will stay in the panhandle and southwest Oklahoma Monday evening. There is a moderate threat that these storms become severe with tennis ball size hail, winds to 70, and a possible tornado.

The threat for severe storms will lower as they approach the metro but strong wind gusts and small hail will still be possible. Storms will likely not get into central Oklahoma until after 10 p.m.

A cold front will drop temperatures into the mid-50s Tuesday morning with a breezy north wind behind it.

Tuesday looks cloudy and cool with highs in the low 60s and a slight chance of rain.
