Man Hospitalized After Driving Off Road In Midwest City

A man is in the hospital after crashing his Chevy Aveo in Midwest City around 1:40 a.m. Monday.

Police say that Jonathan Aguilar, 34, of Choctaw, was driving down Douglas Blvd. in Midwest City when he departed the road to the left. Aguilar then overcorrected and departed the road to the right. The vehicle hit a drainage opening and rolled one and a half times, landing on its roof in a creek.

Aguilar was extracted manually by the fire department. Police say that the Aguilar was driving while sleepy.

Aguilar was taken to OU Medical Center and admitted in good condition with head and trunk injuries.
