The Oklahoma Highway Patrol recovered the body of a boater after a collision on Oologah Lake.

A man said he was trolling at about 20 mph around noon on Tuesday when a runaway boat traveling at high speed hit him. The man told them he didn't see the driver of the runaway boat either in the boat or in the water.

OHP talked with the driver whose boat was hit, and she there wasn't much he could do.

"The guy's coming up on him so fast, and he was going so slow, he said 'there was nothing I could do except duck,'" said Lieutenant Dwight Durant, OHP.

Troopers recovered the body at 2:25 p.m. Troopers suspect the driver of the runaway boat had a medical condition that caused him to lose control.

The driver was later identified as 82-year-old George Baker, Jr of Oologah.

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office and Northwest Fire also helped in the search.
