Police Arrest Suspect In NE OKC Deadly Shooting

Police have arrested a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting that happened Monday evening in northeast Oklahoma City.

According to police, at 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the report of a shooting at Liberty Station Apartments, located at 2700 N. Lindsay Ave. When officers arrived, they found the victim, 24-year-old Donald Roy Johnson, critically wounded. Johnson was transported to OU Medical Center, where he died.

Investigators determined that Donald Johnson and the suspect, 30-year-old Demarea Johnson, were in the parking lot of the complex when an altercation occurred. During the altercation, Demarea Johnson reportedly shot the victim.

Demarea Johnson was arrested at the scene and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on a first-degree murder complaint.
