St. Gregory’s Bryan Seaman has been named Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, the league office announced Saturday. Seaman was one of four Cavaliers to be honored by the conference – Chandler Peterson, Keyton Marzolf and Tanner Reese were first-team All-KCAC selections.

Seaman adds to his ever-growing list of league Coach of the Year awards. Earlier this season, he was named OklahomaSports.Net’s top coach. Last year, Seaman was tabbed Lone Star Alliance DII Coach of the Year. The Peabody, Mass., native led SGU to a 14-5 record this season – including an unblemished mark in LSA DII North play and the No. 2 seed in the KCAC.

Peterson, a freshman from Edmond, finished sixth in the KCAC with 26 goals and sixth with 57 ground balls in NAIA games. Peterson had 11 hat tricks this season, including a season-best six goals in the KCAC semifinals against Ottawa. His 10 ground balls at Ottawa earlier in the season were a career best.

Marzolf, a sophomore from Mustang, had 50 ground balls this year – nearly triple his total from a year ago. From his defender position, he helped the Cavs surrender the second-fewest goals in the conference in NAIA play (43). Marzolf recorded his first-career assist this season.

Reese, a freshman from Prosper, Texas, led the KCAC with a 62.7 percent save percentage in NAIA games (minimum 300 minutes in goal). He recorded double-digit saves in 12 games this year, including a season-best 30 against the University of Oklahoma. Reese, who had 249 total saves this season, received KCAC Player of the Week honors twice this year.
