Woman Arrested For Arson In Connection To SW OKC Apartment Fire

Authorities arrested a woman on an arson complaint in connection to an apartment fire in southwest Oklahoma City.

According to the fire department, just before 10 a.m. Tuesday, crews responded to a fire at the Penn Grand Apartments in the 3700 block of S. Penn. The fire started in a first-floor unit before spreading to the balcony and the unit above.

Investigators said the fire started on a sofa near the south wall of the apartment, just west of the patio door.

Several residents had to be evacuated, and one person was treated for smoke inhalation.

Wednesday morning, fire officials confirmed they arrested 50-year-old Lesa Campbell on a complaint of first-degree arson. She is being held at the Oklahoma County Jail on $10,000 bond.
