Six Charged In Connection With Drug Trafficking

The wife of a man gunned down in their front lawn is one of six people facing charges in connection with a drug trafficking ring.

All six people who have been charged were booked into the Oklahoma County jail back in February and have been released, many of them after posting a very high bond.

That includes Stephanie Johnston Lam who was also just booked in last week on more drug- and gun-related charges.

Court documents state she continued Tuan Lam's drug trafficking operation after his death.

The six people Oklahoma City police have implicated in the major drug operation are Stephanie Johnston Lam, Ronald D. Taylor, Manuel Molina, Joshua Acoltzin, Anh Vu Lam, and Eric Valles.

Court documents state their purpose was to "traffic high grade marijuana to criminal street gangs and other dealers through a sophisticated network of stash houses, runners, and dealers," and that they would "disguise the profits by purchasing cars and homes" for the members to use.

Police believe that over the past four years, they have conspired together to traffic more than "one thousand pounds of marijuana."

Court documents state this $420,000 home in the Brenton Hills addition was one of the homes they bought with those drug proceeds to use and distribute illegal narcotics. They also bought another one near Hefner Road and MacArthur Boulevard.

Inside the Brenton Hills home, police found more than $65,000 in cash and several semi-automatic assault rifles and pistols. They also found almost 200 pounds of high grade marijuana.

It is the same home where Stephanie's husband Tuan Lam was found killed, after five people kicked in the door and went on a rampage.

Court papers state Stephanie Johnston Lam, who was pregnant at the time, was inside the house with her husband when five men arrived.

Court papers state Tuan Lam was supplying known violent gang members in the metro with marijuana and firearms and was killed in retaliation.

Despite that, his wife chose to continue the operation.

Police told News 9 three of the men wanted for Tuan Lam's homicide are still on the loose.

News 9 reached out to Stephanie Lam's attorney for a comment but he declined.
