There is new information in a robbery that happened over the weekend in which a pharmacist and two pharmacy techs were tied up at gunpoint.

It has been two days since Legacy Drug in Pauls Valley was robbed. The employees are still too traumatized to talk about the incident, but News 9 is learning more about one of the suspects, and this is not his first time to rob a pharmacy.

Dispatch: "Pauls Valley Police Department."

Caller: "I'm down at Legacy Drug Store, and the doors are locked, and they're supposed to be open. Can you send an officer down here to do a welfare check on them? The lights are on in there. A lady tried to call them back and nobody is answering the phone either. There's probably a good explanation for it, but I'd rather be safe than sorry."

Little did the retired state trooper know who placed the emergency call know, but police now believe two armed men were inside and tying up the pharmacist and two techs.

The suspects got away with drugs and cash, and detectives say they told the employees they wouldn't tie them up too tightly so they could work their way free after the two were gone.

Both men took off out the back door, and police were able to recover drugs, money, and a hoodie and masks the two were wearing. They caught one, Jeremy Lavorchek, but the other is long gone, and Lavorchek isn't talking.

“He is not cooperating at this time,” Pauls Valley Police Chief Mitch McGill said. “We are still looking for the second suspect and following up on some leads on that, and hopefully shortly we will be able to get that subject in custody.”

News 9 has learned Lavorchek is an experienced pharmacy robber. Back in 2009 federal documents show he admitted to breaking into pharmacies in seven different towns and stealing a slew of drugs including Xanax, Hydrocodone, Lortab, Percocet and Morphine. Now, he's looking at even more trouble.

“Kidnapping, possession of a firearm in commission of a felony, felon in possession of a firearm,” McGill said. “It’s a pretty long, laundry list of charges.”

Lavorchek's bond is set at $1-million. This could be a federal case, because it involves narcotics stolen from a pharmacy which is regulated by the DEA.
