A man was found shot to death in his northwest Oklahoma City home in the early morning hours on Valentine's Day Sunday.

But his killer is still on the run.

Oklahoma City police know who they are looking for, they just have not been able to find him, and that makes neighbors in the Country Hollow neighborhood very nervous.

Pieces of police tape can still be seen around the home where 56-year-old Ricky Duke was found dead. Neighbors living along the 6500 block of NW 123 Street said Duke has lived there for years.

And they can't believe he was shot and killed.

"You move to a neighborhood like this because you think its safer for your kids," said neighbor Brad Amon. "And then this happens. You just never know."

Duke's home can be seen from Amon's front porch, but he says he didn't hear a thing early Sunday morning.

Even though witnesses inside the home told police there was a loud fight and then a gunshot.

Tax records show Duke bought the home in 1997. One of his other neighbors said he was a divorced dad who had two older sons living with him.

No one was at the home when we went knocking.

But the police report reveals Duke knew his killer and even invited him to his home.

Witnesses told police the suspect "came inside and sat down in the kitchen area asking where he could buy a handgun."

It was shortly after that he pulled out a gun.

The police report stated that's when the witnesses ran out a back door and hid. Minutes later, they heard the shot.

One of the witnesses told police he knew the suspect and that they went to high school together. The other witnesses were able to point out the suspect in a photo lineup provided by police.

"Hopefully they'll catch him," Amon said.

For now, police are not releasing a name or picture of that suspect but they have alerted their patrolling officers to be on the lookout.

If you have any information that can help police, call the homicide tip line at 405-297-1200.
