Arrest Made In OKC's 71st Homicide Of 2015

Police arrested a man in connection to Oklahoma City’s 71st homicide of 2015.

According to police, Wednesday night, officers from the department’s Gangs Unit, along with members of the U.S. Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force, located and arrested 28-year-old Marquis Major.  Major had a warrant for murder in the first-degree stemming from the death of 31-year-old Christopher Curry in October, 2015.

Curry was found shot to death in the front yard of a home in the 1600 block of Meyers Place.

Major was found at a home in the 3200 block of S. St. Clair Ave.  After being taken into custody, Major was transported to the Oklahoma City Police Homicide Unit and later booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
