Two vehicles led two law enforcement agencies on high speed chases Tuesday night at the same time in the Oklahoma City metro area.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers started chasing a vehicle near Yukon on Interstate 40. Speeds in this chase climbed up to 120 mph.

The vehicle, an older model, white four door sedan, crashed near Interstate 35 and NE 10 Street and the driver ran away from troopers.

Oklahoma City police K-9 officers and the Air One helicopter helped troopers search for the man in a wooded area near the crash. He was caught less than 30 minutes after he ran away.

At the same time, Oklahoma County deputies chased one vehicle from the Kilpatrick Turnpike. The chase reached speeds of more than 100 mph until police performed a PIT maneuver and spun the car around. The chase damaged three police vehicles but no injuries were reported. The pursuit ended at Interstate 44 and NW 36 Street with a suspect in custody.

It is not clear why either chase started or why law officers tried to pull over these vehicles.
