Three Wanted In Edmond For Exploiting Elderly Man

Edmond police are looking for three men accused of preying on an elderly man and exploiting him.

According to police, the suspects approached the 89-year-old victim at an Oklahoma City store. The victim mentioned he needed work done on his car. The suspects then told the victim that they wanted money for helping to fix his car. 

Police said one suspect took the victim to Walgreen’s located at 6000 S. Penn in Oklahoma City, and had the victim purchase $760.90 worth of gift cards.  The suspects then went to CVS located at 1520 S. Bryant in Edmond, in an attempt to purchase more gift cards. 

One suspect took the victim to his house, then to Bank of Oklahoma, located at 1400 E. Danforth and had the victim cash a $1000 check and a $900 check, according to police.

On November 27, a suspect came to the victim's house and took him to Bank of Oklahoma. The victim cashed a $3,700 check.

On December 4, a suspect came to the victim's house and took him to Bank of Oklahoma. This time, the victim cashed a $3,200 check.

On December 15, a suspect came to the victim's house and took him to Bank of Oklahoma. The victim attempted to cash a $6,400 check. That’s when the bank called police to alert them of the suspicious activity.
