Burglars Boost Warr Acres Business Twice In A Week

A home store in Warr Acres was boarded up Sunday after burglars boosted the business twice in a week.

“Stupid. Desperate and stupid,” Easy Home store manager Kris Jackson said about the criminals who broke into his store MacArthur Boulevard and NW 39 Street.

Jackson said the first hit happened after 2 a.m. Tuesday. 

In surveillance video, someone is seen breaking the glass and crawling through the front door. The burglar went straight to the electronics took cell phones, laptops and tablets before bailing.

And then later in the week after a big Black Friday rush at the store, just before 3 a.m., the burglar came back and brought an accomplice. Jackson thinks the same person was involved in both incidents.

“It looks like just something that would hold up a street sign just filled with concrete and swung it straight through the window,” Jackson said about the second burglary.

One of them grabbed a big TV and the other crammed all he could into his red bag, leaving a huge mess behind.

“Thousands and thousands of dollars in damage,” he estimated.

Each time it happened, Jackson resorted to staying the night to protect the store from another burglary.

But it appeared the bold behavior could continue, until someone comes forward.

“If anybody recognizes or knows anything, information would be amazing because we don’t want this happening again,” he said.
