2 Virginia Men Arrested After FBI Foils Plot Against OK Store Owner, Minorities

The FBI stopped two white supremacists' alleged plan to hurt an Oklahoma gun store owner and attack black churches and synagogues in Virginia.

The two Virginia men were arrested Sunday night during a raid by FBI agents after purchasing illegal weapons from an agent posing as a gun dealer.

Weapons they planned to use to train for a supposed race war.

After nearly a months-long investigation, FBI agents swarmed a Virginia home Sunday morning to disrupt a plan allegedly underway.

Federal court documents state the FBI received a tip that Robert Doyle and Roland Chaney planned to discuss their plot to "shoot or bomb occupants inside black churches and Jewish synagogues" and "harm a gun store owner ... in Oklahoma."

The location of the Oklahoma gun store or its owner were specified in court documents.

The FBI thinks both Doyle and Chaney belong to a "white supremacy extremist version of the Asatru faith."

Before their arrests, the two Virginia men met with an undercover FBI agent posing as an illegal weapons dealer to purchase an automatic weapon, explosives and a pistol with a silencer.

At one point, Chaney became suspicious of the transaction set to take place on Sunday, Nov. 8.

He told Doyle, "'It sounds like ATF to me. It sounds like a ... fed operation".

On Sunday when Chaney tried to buy the weapons from the undercover agents he was immediately arrested.

Doyle was arrested later that day.

This is not the first time the two men have been in trouble with the law.

Doyle was previously convicted of possessing and distributing drugs, embezzlement and grand larceny.

Chaney has also been convicted of multiple felonies, according to the FBI.

A third man allegedly involved was also charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
