The back-to-backs have arrived.

The players don't care for it, ditto for me, but twice this week Oklahoma City will play back-to-back games. The Thunder play Denver Sunday night in downtown Oklahoma City with the Rockets up next, with tip set for 7 p.m. Monday night at the Toyota Center. OKC will come home to play Toronto Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena and then back on the road to face Derrick Rose and the Bulls at the United Center Thursday night. OUCH!

A split over the next four games would be the safe bet I guess, 3-1 is very possible, winning all four would be incredible.

What a difference a year makes -- last year on November 1st the Thunder trotted out 8 healthy players to face the Nuggets. Perry Jones scored 20 points in the 102-91 victory, OKC's first win of the season. Jones along with Kendrick Perkins, Sebastian Telfair and Lance Thomas accounted for 56 points. All four players are no longer on the squad.

Watch out for Denver Sunday night, they ruined opening night for the Rockets winning in Houston by 20 points.

Thunder win by 10-12 points against the Nuggets if you want my prediction, about the same point differential I thought it would be in the game Friday night in Orlando, WRONG!

Now about last Friday night -- it took me a day to remember if I've witnessed a shot like Russell's before, it finally hit me on the plane ride home from Orlando. I  was covering Ohio State's second round game against Xavier at Rupp Arena in 2007. OSU was down three in regulation when Ron Lewis hit a long 3-pointer with two seconds left to send the game in OT. The Buckeyes led by Greg Oden, Mike Conley and Daequan Cook ended up winning in overtime.

Two thrilling wins for OKC so far, a nice 10-12 point win sooner than later would sure help out my human ticker.
