Sports Illustrated Names OU's Hield Preseason All-American

Basketball season is right around the corner, and the Sooners continue to get national recognition.

OU guard Buddy Hield was named a preseason first-team All-American by Sports Illustrated. Hield, a senior, averaged 17.4 points and 5.4 rebounds last season for a very good Oklahoma team.

Joining Hield on the first team are Marcus Paige (UNC), Kyle Wiltjer (Gonzaga), Georges Niang (Iowa St), and Ben Simmons (LSU).

OU opens the season at Memphis on Nov, 17.
