A man narrowly dodged bullets after two suspects tried to carjack him. He is out of the hospital, but the two men he claimed shot at him are still at large.

“An SUV came behind me abruptly and hit the back of my vehicle,” he said.

And it didn't seem to be an accidental fender bender.

“It was unbelievable, because at first I thought it was a drunk driver, but it turned out to be someone who was trying to kill me,” he said.

One of the suspects fired off shots when the man got out of his car.

“The bullet hit my driver’s side window, and then a bullet evidently came inside and also hit my dashboard,” he said. “Then another bullet also hit the top side of my car, and another bullet went underneath.”

He is cut up a bit from flying glass when a bullet went through his windshield, but that did not stop him from getting into his car and driving to the police department.

“He knew the police department was right down here, and he was trying to get down here to get away from them,” Paul Harmon of the Forest Park Police Department said.

Still wrenching his hands, the driver doesn't want use his name or show his face, because the two men he says were after him have not been arrested.

“Their day is coming,” he said. “The cops will get them.”
