One person is in custody after setting a grass fire on the southeast side of the metro on Monday.

Fire crews were called out to battle the intentionally-set fire, located near SE 59th St. and S. Shields Blvd. High winds were blowing the fire toward SE 56th and an auto salvage yard. No structures were lost, however some salvage items burned, including two large containers.

Authorities shut down SE 59th St. in both directions all the way to SE 55th St. while crews worked to contain the blaze. The fire was successfully contained just before 2 p.m.

Police identified the arson suspect as 48-year-old Robert Lee Morris.
