For many of Oklahoma's biggest moments over the last 25 years, News 9's Kelly Ogle has been there.

From the front lines of terror attacks to the aftermath of Mother Nature's fury, he's been a voice of comfort in times of chaos.

Kelly signed on here at News 9 in 1990.

Since then, he's become a decorated news veteran.

He's won Emmy awards for his My 2 Cents commentary and for helping to keep Oklahomans safe during times of disaster.

In 2009, Kelly was recognized for excellence in journalism with a national Edward R. Murrow award.

Stories have taken Kelly across the continent.

Kelly traveled to Mexico with then state Rep. Randy Terrill to see the effects of an immigration law authored by Terrill. He would meet Maria, whose  parents brought her to the U-S when she was nine. Thirteen years later, Terrill's bill would cause her deportation.

The 50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor took him to Hawaii to honor the men who died aboard the U.S.S Oklahoma.

National politics took him places like New York City for the Republican National Convention in 2004, and, to Houston to track Hurricane Ike as it made landfall in 2008.

And, while every story makes an impact, the ones that stick with so many of us are those that came out of Oklahoma's darkest day.

Kelly led coverage from the devastation to the arrest of Timothy McVeigh to McVeigh's conviction, and McVeigh's execution, our own Kelly Ogle was there to tell the story.

So much of his passion comes from his love of this great state and its people.

On the scene of destruction after tornadoes ripped through Moore in May 1999.

Fourteen years later, he would report the devastation once again, telling the stories of survivors and victims and heroes who came to the rescue.

Still, not all of the news was sad. There have been good times, too.

Who could forget the touching moments Kelly would share with children in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program?

The award-winning segment Kelly's Kids helped match hundreds of children with quality mentors.

Kelly's love of sports is well-known. A long-time OSU fan, he proudly sports the orange and black on-air and behind the scenes.

In 2008, we would all watch as our humble town became a big league city, but, he wasn't about to let the network big shots poke fun at his hometown.

It all started with Charles Barkley. A few days later, Kelly Ogle,  bearing Oklahoma made goodies, invited Barkley to discover Oklahoma for himself.

Through the years, Kelly has dedicated his time and talent to keeping Oklahomans informed about the world around us making a unique voice for the community.
