There is a warning from doctors about selfies. Yes, the photos you take of yourself are now concerning doctors.

Psychologist warn the selfie trend is turning into an obsession. News 9's Justin Dougherty explains how doctors feel it's a sign of an addiction to a culture of celebrity.

Selfies are all over social media. Facebook, twitter and Instagram peppered with the  trend that's being called the self portrait of millennials.

Many selfie takers will tell you however you pose, whether with a pout or a smile -- the most important thing is to look good.

Researchers say the pics have now become a way the millennial generation documents itself,  gauge popularity, and make friends. But Doctors feel there are signs that the selfie phenomenon is going too far.

One plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, California, says he sees more clients coming to him because they are obsessed with their selfie image.

"I see a lot more people coming to my office and the answer to the question, 'what bothers you and why did you decide to come and see me?,' surprising enough is, 'I saw a selfie of myself and I hated it and I have to fix it,'" said Dr. Nicholas Nikolov, Plastic Surgeon.

Some psychologist say many young people are getting "addicted" to selfies and an obsession with them can be a sign of low self-esteem.
