Another day, another threat on bathroom wall at a metro school. This most recent alert was sent out by administrators at Westmoore High School on Wednesday.

Westmoore Principal Mark Hunt sent students home with a letter stating a “potential concern was discovered on the wall of a restroom stall by a student.”

The letter went on to say that the school followed up on the incident by contacting Oklahoma City Police and district officials for further investigation. The nature of the threat was not disclosed.

The incident at Westmoore comes on the heels of several other copycat incidences at other schools this week. It all started after a shooting threat was found on the wall in a boys’ bathroom at Norman North Monday morning. Then on Tuesday, another threatening message was found on a wall in a girls’ bathroom.

Also on Tuesday, a student was suspended after a ‘Hit List’ was discovered at Edmond’s Central Middle School. Later on Tuesday, a threatening message was found on a Post-It slip in the girls’ bathroom at Moore High School.

Law enforcement and school officials have taken each threat seriously, especially now, less than a week after a gunman killed nine people at a Community college in Oregon.

None of this week’s threats have been deemed credible.
