The Tulsa Fire Department is recognizing firefighters who have passed away in the last year at the new Tulsa Fire Museum Sunday afternoon. The ceremony began at 1 p.m. at 1010 East 8th Street.

Members of the public and firefighter families attended the memorial service on the crisp October day. A bell is rung as each firefighter's name is read aloud.

Fire departments across the nation recognized their fallen heroes by lowering flags to half-staff, standing at attention and giving a short alarm of sirens in unison. The Tulsa Fallen Firefighter Memorial honored the following retired and active TFD firefighters who have died.
