If you are getting ready to make your bed, there is now a scientific reason not to.
It's all thanks to dust mites. They can trigger coughing, sneezing, itchy eyes and asthma. There are typically more than one Million dust mites in our beds and they feed on our dead skin cells.
A team of researchers from Kingston University in England used a computer model to see how dust mites cope in different conditions. They found the best place for dust mites are when we are in bed with them since we sweat and make the bed humid.
Scientists say by not making your bed, you could reduce the number of dust mites by destroying their environment.
