A former Macomb teacher awaiting trial for multiple accusations of inappropriately touching students is now facing new charges.

He was arrested Friday in Pontotoc County for possession of child pornography.

The Pottawatomie County district attorney said 48-year-old Glenn Ronning's trial is now on hold following his most recent arrest.

According to court documents, Ronning downloaded and saved child porn onto his computer at his home in Ada.

The photos are disturbing.

Court documents show this former 6th grade teacher had images of children who looked younger than 14 years old on his computer performing sex acts.

But Monday was supposed to be the first day of his trial after accusations came up early last year that Ronning, "touched, spanked and kissed" his students.

Three of whom claim he acted inappropriately in the classroom.

"I just don’t think it’s right,” a mother said back in April 2014. “Where do we draw the line?”

News 9 talked to this frustrated mother who did not want to reveal her identity to protect her children.

“Why is it, time and time again, these teachers are being hired? Why is it this keeps happening in this school district?” the mother asked.

The district contacted investigators when the three students complained about Ronnings behavior, like "kissing them on the cheek, touching a least one of them on the inner thigh, and playfully swatting them on the butt.”

Court documents also reveal Ronning is accused of offering to date a female student, complimenting on her figure and saying she was beautiful. That same student claims Ronning invited her to spend the night at his home.

“Something needs to be done. Are they not checking their backgrounds? Are they not watching them?” the mother asked.

The district fired Ronning in April 2014.

Ronning is currently in jail for the child porn charges on a $500,000 bond.

If convicted in that case, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
