A metro area man is accused of bilking what prosecutors say could be several thousand dollars from his 102-year-old grandmother.

Oklahoma County prosecutors Tuesday charged Mike Bocock, 54, with financially exploiting his grandmother Ruby Addington.

Police said Bocock escorted his grandmother into Midfirst Bank on N May Avenue on two consecutive days back in July, where he tried to get her to withdraw more than $3,000.

The second time police say it occurred, Addington complained to a security guard, and Bocock fled the bank in his grandmother’s car.

Court documents show Addington withdrew close to $20,000 from her account in June and July.

Houston Wood is Addington’s former son-in-law.

“Well since he got out of prison he’s been using her big time,” he said.

Court documents show Bocock has convictions going back 19 years for drug possession, robbery and swindling.
