Two men are in jail after Oklahoma County deputies found 249 pounds of marijuana in a vehicle, the sheriff's office reported.

Roberto Valenzuela, 24, and Irving Jimenez, 24, were arrested on trafficking illegal drug complaints Sunday evening.

About 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a deputy initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 40 near Western Avenue.

When the driver rolled down the window, the deputy said he smelled an overwhelming odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mark Opgrande said.

The deputy searched the vehicle and found 243 bundles of marijuana. It weighed approximately 249 pounds, Opgrande said.

Both men are being held at the Oklahoma County jail on bond of $25,000 each.
