Canadian County investigators arrest a former Oklahoma police officer and sheriff’s deputy for alleged sex crimes.

They said Joshua Davis arranged a sex meet-up with a 13-year-old girl who was really an undercover deputy.

Davis works as an armed security guard and was on the clock when the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office said he tried to meet the underage teen for sex.

I've seen people that you would never think in a thousand years that would do that,” said Lt. Adam Flowers with the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office.

Lt. Flowers said Davis is also a former deputy for the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office and a former police officer for the cities of Salina and Oilton.

It's sickening, it hurts,” Lt. Flowers said.

Flowers played the undercover role of a 13-year-old girl. He said Davis reached out on Facebook and started talking friendly at first, but then it turned sexual.

He even suggested that he has a 10-year-old son that he needs to have the 10-year-old son friend our 13-year old decoy so he has a reason to be around the 13-year-old decoy,” Lt. Flowers told News 9.

They planned to meet up at the 7-Eleven near SW 15th and Morgan in Oklahoma City, which is in Canadian County.

Flowers said Davis drove to OKC from his home in Mulhall for his armed security job, so he was wearing a bullet proof vest, a loaded gun and several magazines.

Things were tense when they surrounded him.

Face it, I mean getting caught for doing these types of crimes changes a person's life forever, they'll be a sex offender if convicted, they're looking at prison time,” Lt. Flowers explained.

However, Davis surrendered with no problems.

Investigators are still shocked he is a former law enforcement officer.

They're here to help people, they're here to protect people, uphold the law, put bad guys in jail, not prey on our children,” Lt. Flowers said.

Investigators have called DHS because Davis mentioned having a 10-year-old son.

Davis was booked into the Canadian County Jail on complaints of soliciting sex with a minor by use of technology and possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. His bond is $60,000.
